Did the GOP Just Dodge a Bullet?
Not to excuse what took place on Jan. 6, but if it was an insurrection, an act of sedition, an
attempted coup, an act of domestic terrorism, the conspirators should be charged in court, for each of these is a specific crime. And if anyone plotted to kill Pence, then they should be charged and tried. The Jan. 6 national commission idea, understandably supported by every congressional Democrat, belongs in the dumpster.
