Biden’s rocky first year sapped support for Democratic Party, left voters worried about what’s next

The president’s liberal base is unhappy about multiple unfulfilled goals, from election laws to

raising the minimum wage to canceling student debt. They’ve complained Mr. Biden hasn’t leaned hard enough on Dem Sens. Joe Manchin III of West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona to abolish or radically change the Senate’s long-standing filibuster rule, which requires 60 votes to pass most legislation in the 100-seat body.
