Economic impact of mining and tourism

I've been reading up on Mohave County's economy out of curiosity, and it seems like mining and tourism are two of the biggest players. I’ve seen a few old mining areas turned into local attractions, and tourism really seems to pick up near Lake Havasu and along Route 66. Found some helpful listings on Local Businesses Lake Havasu, AZ while digging around. Just wondering how much these industries actually affect day-to-day life or job opportunities for folks living there full-time. Is tourism mostly seasonal, or is it steady year-round?

It’s interesting how these small desert towns manage to juggle such different industries. On one hand, you’ve got history and heritage from mining; on the other, lakeside festivals and boat rentals. The mix seems to work because it spreads the income sources out, so when one sector dips, the other helps carry things along. That kind of balance keeps things more stable than you’d think for such a rural region.
