Virginia Congressional Delegation Splits on Party Lines over Continuing Resolution


All four of Virginia’s GOP congressmen voted against a continuing resolution to continue

ree

funding the government through December 16, 2022; the bill passed with just 10 votes from Republicans nationally. Three of the Virginia Republicans criticized the bill for continuing Democratic spending. Democrats Abigail Spanberger and Elaine Luria, both in competitive swing districts, said the bill is necessary to keep government open.
