“Twitter is a disgrace to democracy. They shouldn’t be allowed to do business in this Country,” said former President Donald Trump through his Save America PAC.
“Marjorie Taylor Greene has a huge constituency of honest, patriotic, hard-working people. They don’t deserve what’s happened to them on places like low-life Twitter and Facebook.
“Everybody should drop off of Twitter and Facebook. They’re boring, have only a Radical Left point of view, and are hated by everyone. They are a disgrace to our Nation. Keep fighting, Marjorie!” said the former President’s statement.
Mr. Trump issued his broadside after Twitter announced it had permanently suspended Greene's personal account for spreading COVID-19 misinformation, though she still retains access to her official Congressional handle, reported the UK’s Daily Mail.
The next day, Greene said Facebook suspended her account for a 24-hour period.
As we demonstrated in our article “Twitter Permanently Banned Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene For Telling The Truth About COVID Vaccines” two of Rep. Taylor Greene’s so-called strikes have been proven to be accurate and one is the subject of legitimate scientific investigation and debate.
So, in a sane and rational world Rep. Taylor Greene would be down only two “strikes” if a strike system was even necessary.
However, this is no longer a sane and rational world, and Rep. Taylor Greene is just the latest conservative to be kicked off a social media platform in what has become Silicon Valley’s ongoing and no longer subtle purge of conservative voices.
The good news is Mr. Trump has announced the creation of his own social media venture, TRUTH Social, which the former president said is scheduled to launch in early 2022.
TRUTH Social will be helmed by Rep. Devin Nunes, the former Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, who recently left Congress to head-up the Trump venture.
TRUTH Social has also allied with Rumble, a Canadian video platform popular among conservatives, that will "serve as a critical backbone" for the site's infrastructure, said Mr. Trump when announcing the partnership.
Mr. Trump said in a statement that Rumble is already providing cloud services to the beta website of TRUTH Social, which he said is for "invited guests only." "The initial Beta launch has been excellent," Trump said. "America is ready for TRUTH Social, and the end to cancel culture.”
A full rollout of the TRUTH Social website is expected in the first quarter of 2022.
