According to data from the Federal Reserve, American households lost $6 trillion over the
prior three months as inflation fueled by government spending wreaks havoc on home finances. But the crumbling state of the U.S. economy, which has now seen two consecutive quarters of negative growth, didn’t stop President Biden from holding a White House party complete with attendance from Democratic leadership and thousands of supporters.
