DeSantis Demands Universities Report on CRT and ‘Diversity, Equity, Inclusion’ Spending

In a Dec. 28 memo, the governor’s office gave state Education Commissioner Manny Diaz

and Ray Rodrigues, chancellor of the state university system, until Jan. 13 to produce the information. The documents should “provide a comprehensive list of all staff, programs, and campus activities related to diversity, equity and inclusion, and critical race theory,” Chris Spencer, the governor’s director of policy and budget, wrote in the directive.
