Conservatives Demand Kerry Be Prosecuted For Leaking To Iran

We agree with principled limited government constitutional conservative Congressman Lee

Zeldin (NY-1), who yesterday tweeted: John Kerry must immediately testify before @HouseForeign to address allegations he leaked to Iran info on covert Israeli military operations. These allegations are unfortunately not surprising and, if true, Kerry must resign from Biden admin & have his security clearance revoked.

But why stop there?

As conservative rock star Rep. Lauren Boebert (CO-3) said, “John Kerry needs to be investigated for violations of the Logan Act right now.”

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also called-out John Kerry this week after the diplomat was accused of sharing Israeli intelligence with leaders in Iran; saying the American people deserve answers.

“Secretary Kerry, can you please explain to the American people why you disclosed information about Israeli operations to Iranian FM @JZarif? We’ve known for years you were helping him. Americans deserve to know why,” posted Pompeo on Twitter.

All of these calls for Kerry’s head began after the Iranian Foreign Minister was caught on tape claiming that Kerry, Obama’s one-time Secretary of State and now-Biden Ambassador informed him of covert Israeli military operations.

According to Fox News, Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif claimed in recently leaked audio that John Kerry, when he was serving as Secretary of State during the Obama administration, informed him of more than 200 Israeli operations in Syria.

Kerry has previously been accused of colluding with Iranian leaders to undermine the Trump administration. Kerry is now a part of the Biden administration and has a seat on the National Security Council as the special presidential envoy for climate.

And Kerry has made no secret of the fact that his daughter is married an Iranian-American who has extensive family ties to Iran.

In an official statement on the occasion of the 2013 traditional Iranian New Year (Nowruz) Kerry said, “I am proud of the Iranian-Americans in my own family, and grateful for how they have enriched my life.” Kerry also said he was “strongly committed to resolving” the differences between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran, “to the mutual benefit of both of our people.”

As Kenneth R. Timmerman, founder and president of the Foundation for Democracy in Iran, pointed out in an article for The Daily Caller back in 2013 when Kerry issued the statement, "Since its inception, the FBI has vetted U.S. government officials involved in national security issues, and it generally won’t grant clearances to individuals who are married to nationals of an enemy nation or have family members living in that country, for fear of divided loyalties or, more simply, blackmail.”

Behrouz (Brian) Nahed and Vanessa Kerry Nahed are both resident physicians at Mass General in Boston, noted Mr. Timmerman. An Iranian government website first published pictures of the married couple in February, just as Kerry was up for confirmation hearings before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Dr. Nahed’s parents live in Los Angeles, but he has relatives still in Iran. The Iranian website reported that shortly after their marriage, the young couple visited those relatives in Iran.

Was the Iranian publication itself a subtle form of blackmail, aimed at letting Kerry know that the regime is fully aware of his son-in-law’s extended family in Iran?

The Islamic Republic systematically puts pressure on family members of prominent Iranian-Americans (for example, individuals who work at the Persian service of Voice of America), to make sure that they do not engage in hostile statements or activities against the Tehran regime, Mr. Timmerman explained.

Certainly, Secretary Kerry has long favored a U.S. rapprochement with the Islamic Republic. He has repeatedly appeared with groups such as the American Iranian Council (AIC), and has taken money from Iranian-Americans for his political campaigns, including at least one illegal donation from an Iranian woman who did not have a green card. So he didn’t need to have an Iranian-American family member to believe that the United States should forge direct relations with the Islamic Republic or ease U.S. pressure on the regime.

When asked during Monday’s press briefing about reports that John Kerry, who is now Biden’s climate czar, told Iran about Israel’s military secrets, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki refused to comment, saying she wouldn’t because they’re “leaks.”

As Josh Hammer of the New York Post put it so well:

No individual personified the Obama Bros’ supine tango with the mullahs better than then-Secretary of State John Kerry. Kerry, the “statesman” who has been on the wrong side of every major foreign affairs issue since at least the Swift Boats of Vietnam, betrayed his country in borderline-treasonous fashion as Obama’s chief diplomatic lackey. Not content to sell the farm — and scores of unmarked pallets of US taxpayer cash — to a mullocracy with untold American blood on its hands as a diplomat, Kerry then traitorously colluded as a layman with his pal, Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif, to undermine the Trump administration’s “maximum pressure” Iran containment strategy.
Alas, we now know it is apparently even worse. New leaked audio appears to reveal that Kerry, now Team Biden’s special climate envoy, divulged to Zarif the details of over 200 clandestine Israeli military operations taken against Iranian targets in Syria. One might be loath to take on blind faith the claims of a thug like Zarif, but in this case, the shoe fits. This is who John Forbes Kerry is — who he always has been, and always will be.

John Kerry is a traitor, a longtime enemy within, he should be held to the same standard others, notably Gen. Mike Flynn, have been held to. He should resign and the FBI should begin an investigation into what secrets he has given to Iran and what damage those disclosures caused.
