With all its recent crimes, murders, and abductions, Memphis should be a wake-up call for
the entire country. It should certainly be a wake-up call for the Republican Party that has been handed the issue of issues—basic public safety in what is supposed to be, or once thought of to be, the most powerful and advanced nation on Earth—for the November election. Can the GOP do it? Their messaging, to be kind, leaves someting to be desired.
